Yes I did! Sorry I didn't write my review yesterday as I was tired when I got home. Now to the review:
I liked the movie. It was funny, down to earth, and cute. Keira Knightley, Sam Rockell, and of course Chloë where all really good in the movie. I agree with Rogert Ebert who says that Chloë really elevates the other actors. This is probably the most down to earth character I have seen Chloë play.
The movie starts off slow and doesn't really get interesting until Megan meets Annika and immediately the movie starts to form what it is about. The movie does overdo the annoyance of her boyfriend and the different situations that pop up one after another that end up driving Megan to want to get away for a week. But I eventually warmed up to Keira as Megan once she started interacting with Chloë and her dad played by Sam Rockwell. Rockwell uses his signature charm that he does in most of his movies and it totally worked for me. His chemistry with both his daughter and Megan was, to me, what helped drive the movie.
This part is a spoiler since it is about the ending: The ending left a little to be desired. It had a cliche ending of Megan ending up with Annika's dad yet there was nothing about her finally getting her life together or getting a job.
Laggies is totally relatable and a believable good movie that is worth seeing mainly for the acting and chemistry among the 3 main characters. The movie may be a bit cliche yet seeing the role reversal actually helps keep it fresh. I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.
